More about Windrose Technology
Edit

Windrose Technology, founded in 2022, is an innovative developer of zero-emission and intelligent heavy-duty trucks. With offices in Hefei, Hong Kong, Belgium, and California, the company aims to revolutionise the global road freight industry.

Led by Stanford graduate Wen Han, Windrose has rapidly secured significant funding to support its ambitious goals. The company has completed several funding rounds, including a $110 million Series B financing in April 2024, with investors such as HSBC, HITE Hedge Asset Management, and Goodman Group.

Windrose's flagship electric long-haul truck boasts impressive specifications, including a 670km range under full load of 49 tons and an 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform capable of replenishing 400km of range in under 36 minutes. The company has conducted extensive testing in various conditions, including high-temperature, high-altitude, and low-temperature environments.

With a global outlook, Windrose is expanding its operations beyond China. The company plans to establish assembly plants in Savannah, Georgia (USA) and Belgium to serve its international clientele. These facilities will assemble truck chassis and other parts manufactured in China, allowing Windrose to compete directly with established players like Tesla in the electric truck market.

Windrose has secured partnerships with notable companies such as Rokin Logistics, Kerry Logistics, and BorgWarner. The company's order book reportedly includes 6,400 trucks to be delivered over three years, with a significant portion destined for US customers.

With over 100 R&D professionals and more than 200 patents, Windrose is positioning itself as a key player in the transition to sustainable transportation. The company's focus on innovation, coupled with its rapid expansion and strong investor backing, suggests a promising future in the evolving electric vehicle industry.
