University of Texas Foundation
Was created to receive unconventional assets that an agency of the state would not normally be able to accept.
The University of Texas Foundation, a public charity, was established by the Board of Regents of the University of Texas system in 1967 to accept and manage gifts in support of the UT system, consisting of eight universities and six health institutions. Specifically, the UT Foundation was created to receive unconventional assets that an agency of the state would not normally be able to accept. The generosity of donors has played a major role in the growth of the UT system, and we are grateful for donors' continued support.
Donors may benefit by supporting the UT Foundation in the following ways:
• Spared the inconvenient liquidation process when donating property
• Gift generates an itemized income tax deduction
• Capital gains tax savings
• In the case of annuities, a fixed annual income for life, guaranteed by the UT Foundation
We thank you for your philanthropy and for helping fund the future of Texas!
