umob is a Rotterdam-based Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform that integrates various transportation options—including public transit, taxis, shared bikes, e-mopeds, and cars—into a single application. Launched in August 2023 by co-founders Bibi Jorissen and Raymon Pouwels, umob aims to provide a seamless and sustainable alternative to private car ownership by offering users the ability to plan, book, and pay for multimodal journeys within one interface.
The platform operates across 28 cities in five European countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, and Spain. It partners with major mobility providers such as Lime, Bird, Bolt, Donkey Republic, Cooltra, and Felyx, granting users access to over 500,000 shared vehicles. umob is notably the first platform in the Netherlands to fully integrate all shared e-moped providers, including Check, Felyx, and GO Sharing, into a single app.
Beyond individual users, umob collaborates with municipalities to develop tailored mobility strategies, including the implementation of park-and-ride solutions, carpool guarantees, and mobility hubs. The platform provides anonymized data to help cities optimize transportation policies and infrastructure.
