Startfeld is a non-profit association with a philanthropic goal setting to support start-ups and innovation in the Eastern Part of Switzerland.
The network for innovations and start-ups was founded by the University of St.Gallen, FHS St.Gallen University of Applied Sciences, the Empa, the city of St.Gallen, the St.Galler Kantonalbank (SGKB) and Swisscom. Like this, a strong linkage to research driven entrepreneurship and science has been established from the very beginning.
What we do:
- we increase the awareness for entrepreneurship of high potential research teams, students and development teams in the eastern part of Switzerland.
--> foster grassroots initiatives
- we support ambitious entrepreneurs, who are open to new impulses and development with knowledge, coaching, training, financials and infrastructure --> reduce failure
- we support the development of market-ready products based on research results -> strengthen the position of Switzerland’s competitiveness worldwide
- we create a start-up-, creativity- and innovation friendly ecosystem in the St.GallenBodenseeArea trough connecting start-ups, SME’s, experts, BA / VC’s, CVC’s and other investors
--> accelerate entrepreneurship
- we foster market entry in the whole DACH-region with strong partnership programmes
--> increase export industry of Switzerland
