Progress The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Michigan! NMA was formed at the beginning of 2012 and to date has invested in 18 small companies in Michigan with 4 of these companies receiving second or third rounds of capital; established alliances with 16 like-minded angel groups, accelerators and incubators statewide; arranged for 48 aspiring entrepreneurial companies to present at pitch events; attracted 9 community sponsors and staged 5 educational workshops. We are not a managed fund. Each of our members decide whether they want to invest in the opportunities presented and how much.
