Linxens

Linxens is the world leader in the design and manufacture of smart card components. Since its foundation more than 40 years ago, Linxens has supplied more than 120 billion micro connectors (the contact payment feature of your bank card) and more than 6 billion RFID antennas (the contactless payment feature of your bank card). The microchip is the small square piece of metal on the front of your bank card. Our components are used in many applications: payment cards, driving licenses, passports, access cards, smart tags... We're used to saying that 80% of the population uses at least one of our products every day to pay, make a phone call, travel, access buildings...

What sets us apart is our reel-to-reel production capacity, which guarantees the quality, reliability and reproducibility of the same model in hundreds to millions of units.

This production method is based on a flexible substrate to which various layers of material are added, in particular copper, which is then chemically etched to produce an electronic component. Linxens has its own electronics assembly machine, which guarantees our customers agile and responsive production capacity.

We extended this technology to the production of RFID labels and tags. We can print many different components for the cards, such as micro-connectors or antennas, but also batteries.

We are one of the few players in the world that can produce very high volumes of connected tagsat very attractive costs, using battery technologies that consume very little energy, which is what really sets our products apart.

Last but not least, this technology allows us to limit the use of raw materials as much as possible, making our production more virtuous from an environmental point of view. We are also working to develop new solutions based on recycled materials to further limit our impact.

Finally, in addition to our industrial expertise, our software development capabilities allow us to offer not only components, but also platform solutions that connect these components to collect data for real-time tracking and authentication of the products to which they are attached.
