Eurobridge Intermodal Terminal
Strategic transhipment hub enhancing Ukraine-Europe rail connectivity with dual gauge access.
Eurobridge LLC, located in Batiovo, Ukraine, is strategically positioned near the Chop border crossing, providing direct rail links between Ukraine, Hungary, and Slovakia. The terminal is currently transitioning from a bulk cargo facility to an efficient container terminal, with operations set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025. This transformation is part of a joint venture between HHLA International GmbH, a prominent European logistics provider based in Hamburg, Germany, and Fortior Capital LLC, a Ukrainian investment company headquartered in Kyiv. The partnership aims to leverage the combined expertise of both companies in logistics and intermodal transport, enhancing the integration of Ukrainian and European transport networks. Eurobridge LLC will offer dual gauge rail access, accommodating both 1435 mm standard gauge and 1520 mm broad gauge tracks, thus facilitating seamless hinterland connections along key transport corridors from the North and Baltic Seas to the Black Sea. The venture builds on HHLA's established presence in Ukraine through its operation of the HHLA Container Terminal Odesa and its local rail operator, UIC Ukraine Intermodal Company. The transaction is subject to antitrust clearance.
