The ESA Business Incubation Centre Nord France (ESA BIC Nord France) is an initiative that opened in 2018, powered by the European Space Agency (ESA) and Ouest BIC Technopoles.

The main objectives of ESA BIC is to start and boost innovative companies :

- based on the use of space systems and/or technology for terrestrial applications

- based on the use of terrestrial technologies for space applications

- developing space technologies and nano-, micro-, and mini-satellites systems (space 4.0)

ESA BIC Nord France covers 6 regions in France (Bretagne, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, Ile-de-France, Normandie and Pays de la Loire). In each of the 6 regions, one regional reference incubator is in charge of managing its own region.

CNES (French Space Agency) and AStech Paris Région (aerospace competitiveness cluster) also support this initiative by providing technical and scientific expertise.

20 ESA BICs already exist all over Europe and have supported more than 750 startups.
