ESA BIC Baden-Württemberg
Established in Baden-Württemberg, located in Reutlingen and Friedrichshafen, adding to the existing Darmstadt location. The Reutlingen location is managed by IHK-IWW, while Airbus Defense leads Friedrichshafen.
The two ESA BIC locations are: Baden-Württemberg – Reutlingen and Friedrichshafen. There are 20 ESA Business Incubation Centre in Europe, spread across 15 different European countries – from Portugal up to Estonia. 140 young companies are annually supported by ESA BIC, who with financial and energetic support are able to grasp and make their business idea reality. In the state of Baden-Württemberg, two new ESA BIC locations are being constructed. The new locations are being placed in Reutlingen and in Friedrichshafen, with an additional location in Darmstadt, which has been present for a while. These locations together shape the new ESA BIC Hessen & Baden-Württemberg. By the end of 2021, 60 startups will be given the opportunity to incubate at the three locations and will ensue through the funding phase for up to 2 years. Technical support is provided by Airbus Defense and Space in Friedrichshafen and Bosch Automotive Electronics in Reutlingen.
